Press Release:

Total1 Web creates online solution for the Iron Men of Metz

July 08 - Total1 has collaborated with the 95th Infantry Division Association to produce their website, 95divassociation.com.

The website provides a way for veterans and international supporters of the group to share valuable information, inquire about out of touch comrades, and announce national and international events. Recent additions to the site enable upcoming reunion participants to register and purchase tickets to the event online.

The 95th Infantry Division was a unit in General George S Patton's 3rd Army in World War II. This unit waged campaigns through Northern France and the Saar region of Germany, before moving north and participating in battles across the Rhine and the industrial Ruhr region. They are particularly remembered for liberating the fortress city of Metz, France, after five days of fierce fighting. For this achievement they were given the title, "The Iron Men of Metz", by the German fortress commander of Metz, General Kittel.

The 95th Infantry Division Association was formed over 50 years ago by Major General Harry L Twaddle, the Division's World War II commander during the entire period from activation at Camp Swift, Tx in 1942 to deactivation at Camp Shelby, Ms in 1945.

This year nearly 400 of these military veterans and their families and friends will gather for the group's annual reunion in Toledo, Ohio, hosted by the family of Richard H. Schoen. Dick, a former medic in the Division, passed away soon after the 2007 reunion, but his family continued his pledge to host this year's event. Other recent reunions have been held in Oklahoma City, Chicago and Metz, France.

More information regarding the unit, their members and the reunion can be found at http://www.95divassociation.com.
